The 3 Q’s of Quality Management:

1. QUALITY

2. QUALITY

3. QUALITY

Allow us to explain…

The First Q: A Quality Executive Team

A quality executive team exemplifies the company by showcasing the company’s core ideals internally and externally through the treatment of its facilities, technology, people, and customers. This group develops a succinct Vision and Mission from the insights of stakeholders, employees, and customers. They promote a company culture that nurtures personal development, team building, education, and innovation. The company’s culture is how employees will advocate the company to friends, family, recruitment opportunities, and business opportunities. The executive team also advocates the importance of a quality management system (QMS) and helps the company adhere to those standards, while promoting continued enhancements.

Qualities to look for in a company’s executive team:

  • Nurtures its employees
  • Promotes and practices friendly and responsive attitudes toward customers
  • Progressive
  • Proactive
  • Innovative
  • Timely
  • Adherence to QMS

The quality of the executive team drives the structure and quality of the rest of the components within the company.

The Second Q: A Quality Support Team

The quality of the company is only as good as the quality of its team. A team generally consists of different types of people and personalities, but they are fiercely loyal to a company with which the individual shares in the Vision, Mission, and Culture. As teams grow and develop, it’s important for the executive team to engage and promote the qualities the company believes in. Through training, education, and team-building, a quality team is able to understand the goals of the company, groups, and individuals.

A quality team is able to:

  • Recognize areas of improvement
  • Promote a solution
  • Develop a strategy
  • Implement the solution
  • Monitor the process
  • Report the results
  • Continually improve

A QMS will assist the team in the development of the initial standards and procedures, and then look for the improvements.

The Third Q: The Quality Management System

A quality management system (QMS) is a set of policies, processes and procedures. A QMS serves for planning and execution of the core business functions. ISO 9001 is an example of a Quality Management System and PartsBadger is ISO 9001:2015 Certified.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is the governing body for developing and publishing the standards. PartsBadger worked with Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc. to complete the auditing and certification process to become ISO 9001:2015 Certified. A complete ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System must address all the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, including the ISO 9001 :2015 documentation requirements.

The Main Concepts of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System

ISO 9001:2015 seeks to help companies:

  • Become more cost efficient
