Roy Dietsch Joins BizTimes’ Innovation + Entrepreneurship Forum & Awards Panel Discussion
Roy Dietsch, co-founder and CEO of Parts Badger participated in a panel discussion with fellow entrepreneurs Kyle Weatherly, co-founder and CEO of Frontdesk and Jackie Hermes, founder and CEO of Accelity at BizTimes’ Innovation + Entrepreneurship Forum & Awards.
During the panel discussion, the group discussed many topics. These topics include how they started, challenges getting started, challenges during the pandemic, financial hardships during the pandemic, and other topics regarding their entrepreneurship. The topic of why each company was started shows exactly why Parts Badger is so important for other businesses who face supply issues.
“I was looking for a much bigger idea that could grow much faster. I initially knew it had to be in a big market. Recently, I had experienced trying to buy a machine part, and I sent out a quote to 12 local companies for a request for a quote. It took about a week and I got responses from three of the 12 companies I had sent a request for a quote. Two (companies) said their software is too old and they couldn’t open the file and then the one that quoted us, it was cheaper for us to buy a CNC machine and make the parts ourselves so that’s what we did. ” -Roy Dietsch, CEO, Parts Badger.
Parts Badger’s Innovation
Parts Badger was created to be a solution to slow quoting. This was done with their instant quoting technology. Depending on the complexity of the quote, you will receive one after filling out or within minutes afterwards. This is just one example of Parts Badger’s innovation.
Parts Badger is regularly in the news as of late. This is due to their constant innovation of streamlined services. The company was recently ranked #525 on Inc. Magazine’s Annual 5000 list in 2021. This was due in large part to their instant quoting and 24/7 manufacturing to make parts quicker for customers.
They also recently expanded by adding sheet metal to their list of capabilities. This will help Parts Badger engage even better with their customers. These are just a few of the innovations that have led to a 936% three-year revenue growth. Roy Dietsch has been at the forefront of this movement with the belief of constant testing.
