What is the Position?

PartsBadger is seeking a CAM Programmer – Floor Lead to collaborate with a small team dedicated to the success of our customers. The CAM Programmer will be responsible for the floor operations of our new FastLane Program.

The FastLane program is automating high-mix low-volume work utilizing our advanced software and robotics to drastically speed up the time it takes to get jobs produced. It’s our goal to build the most responsive manufacturing cells on the planet to serve our 3,000 customers across the United States.

This position includes reviewing and editing programs, setting up tools and kitting jobs, prepping material, and managing the operators on the floor. An ambitious, detail-oriented, and fast-working individual will thrive in this role. In our dynamic environment, things change quickly and are constantly being streamlined. You will be the tip of the spear of the Fastlane program as we continue development and scale.

Work Environment:

PartsBadger is a relaxed, casual work environment located in Cedarburg, WI. We are ITAR registered and we have our AS9100 and ISO9001:2015 certifications. Our location boasts 15,000 sq. ft that blends office and production space. Our production is a job shop style rather than large production runs. We work with almost every material available including steels, aluminums, exotics, plastics and more. We continue to develop the layout of our office for idea generation and collaborative work.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Day to Day

  • CNC CAM Program Reviewing & Editing (Fusion 360)
  • Keyence IM Programming and Editing
  • Kitting Jobs: Tooling, workholding and material
  • Floor Support: Handling exceptions, issues, and operator needs
  • Employee training
    • Coordinate training needs and schedule with Shop Manager & HR
    • Deploy new systems/processes as required
  • Ensure shop is organized and maintained
  • Create purchase orders as needed
  • Coordinate any machine repairs and machine maintenance
  • Coordinate tooling and supplies need 
  • Deploy new processes as required 
  • Prepare for, participate in, and facilitate customer tours

 

Management

  • Perform bi-weekly 1:1 meetings with operators and machinists  
    • Genuinely care about the wellbeing of your employees
    • Illicit feedback
    • Illicit ideas
    • Work with the team to set their personal and professional goals
    • Follow up and provide opportunities for improvement
  • Participate in interviews and make hiring decisions with HR. 
  • Supervise employee training needs, coordinate with HR 
  • Lead and develop a team of Operators and Machinists, work with HR to create policies and training documents. 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with various programming software (MasterCam, Fusion360, Esprit, etc)
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications (Fusion360)
  • Experience with Programming Hass Machines 
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Machining Industry tooling knowledge
  • 3+ Years Machining Experience
  • Ability to Lead in a Machine Shop Setting
  • Ability to Multi-Task, Prioritize, and Manage Time Effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fusion 360 Experience
  • Keyence IM Programming Experience
  • GD&T Knowledge 
  • Experience with CRM Software
