Unlike CNC machining where material is removed from a solid block to create your part, 3D printing is an additive manufacturing method where material is added layer by layer. PartsBadger offers both FDM/FFF along with SLA 3D printing for our customers who are looking for a low cost, quick turnaround option.
PartsBadger offers industrial grade 3D printing with the capability to add internal fiber reinforcement to the parts during the printing process. Added fiber reinforcement will dramatically increase the strength of the parts and, depending on the design of the part, can even make them stronger than standard aluminum.
Our current material options for 3D printed parts include Carbon Fiber Infused Nylon (Onyx) and standard White Nylon. The Onyx material is black / dark graphite in color and is roughly 1.6x stronger than the standard White Nylon.
SLA
In addition to FDM/FFF printing, PartsBadger also offers SLA printing to produce high quality parts from a variety of resins. SLA 3D printing machines are capable of printing extremely accurate parts and are great for fine details and parts that require injection mold-like finishes.

Material Options
For parts with interior threads called out, heat-set threaded inserts will be added post printing. The part files will need to be modified to accept these inserts and our engineers will review all parts to ensure compatibility. Most common thread sizes are available and we can perform the file modifications for an additional cost.
